This Sunday we celebrate Communion, and yesterday I imagined being at the Last Supper with Jesus and the disciples. I felt sad for Jesus. He knew ahead of time that Judas would betray him; he also knew that Peter would deny him – a kind of betrayal too.  He must have been heartbroken.

How great is the love and mercy of God that he knows about our betrayals ahead of time and still loves us!
